'Absolutely massive' – Exclusive: Paul Robinson claims Leeds in trouble after news on 24y/o
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has said that Leeds are facing an “absolutely massive” problem after Kalvin Phillips was banned for three games following the game against QPR.
Phillips, 24, got a straight red late on for a nasty challenge on QPR’s Geoff Cameron.
He had no complaints about the decision and posted an apology to Leeds fans after the game.
Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said that his suspension would cause big trouble for Leeds.
“It’s an absolutely massive problem for Leeds,” said Robinson. “Massive.”

“It wasn’t just the fact he got sent off, it was the manner in which he got sent off and the fact he is going to miss three games.
“He’s one of, if not, Leeds’ best player, he’s key to everything they do and it was a really reckless challenge.
“Leeds are now going to miss him for three games, which is a huge huge blow for an already depleted squad.”
The three-match ban could cost Leeds dearly and Marcelo Bielsa now has to solve the problem of who will replace him.
One option is Ben White but that would disrupt the backline and Gaetano Berardi missed the QPR game with injury.
Alfie McCalmont is another option but he doesn’t have much first-team experience.
Leeds don’t play again until next Tuesday when they host Millwall.
