Tony Dorigo slams Luke Ayling in Leeds defeat v Ajax
Leeds United crashed to a disappointing 4-0 defeat against Ajax on Wednesday evening as pre-season continued.
Thankfully, it was only a friendly but Marcelo Bielsa won’t have been pleased with the mistakes on show.
Luke Ayling started the game disastrously, handing the ball to Davy Klaasen to score in the opening two minutes of the clash.

Speaking during live commentary of the game on LUTV, Tony Dorigo was far from pleased with what he saw from Ayling.
“It’s an awful mistake, simple as that,” he said.
“He’s switched off, lost concentration, you can’t have a touch like that when you’re getting closed down but obviously Luke Ayling didn’t realise and thought he had plenty of time.
“That touch is a poor one, it’s too big.”

Not good enough.
We can excuse Ayling for now, and put it down to one mistake.
It is best to get them out of our system now, and hopefully, be at 100% for that trip to Old Trafford in less than two weeks time.
Bielsa will have been raging with what he saw in Amsterdam, he doesn’t allow performances like that, even in pre-season.
Hopefully, Ayling can return to right-back in the Premier League though, with these cameos in the heart of defence never-ending well for him.
With only one more friendly left against Villareal, we likely see a side that is set to start against Manchester United.
Fingers crossed we can get a positive result as well as performance as we travel to Spain over the weekend.
