Source close to Leeds United dressing room: Player take to Jesse Marsch extremely well – report

A source close to the Leeds United dressing room has insisted that the squad have taken to Jesse Marsch “extremely well.”

The Daily Mail reported the news after the Whites picked up another three points with a huge 3-0 win at Watford on Saturday.

The source admitted that the players are much happier with the more “holistic” approach taken by the American.

Leeds made it four unbeaten on Saturday with a win in the capital.

Marsch was at the heart of everything too, taking a huge gamble by leaving Kalvin Phillips on the bench not to risk him too early.

Starting Liam Cooper in recent weeks when it was either him or Philips was a masterstroke too, with his leadership simply incredible.

The head coach left the team talk to the skipper, showing that there is a newfound bond and trust between management and players.

Perfect.

The one player that epitomises this is Rodrigo.

It has been clear that a weight has been lifted off the shoulders of the Spaniard, and he is playing his best football since arriving at Elland Road.

Marsch has trusted the attacker and brought him into the new leadership team within the playing squad, something that has massively paid off.

The more time moves on from Marcelo Bielsa, the more we are seeing some players admit that things weren’t right after so many years of success.

Maybe this proves it was the right time to move on, and no offence to Marsch, but he still has a long way to go to reach those levels.

Let’s celebrate the here and now, though, with Marsch starting his career at Elland Road like a house on fire – long may that continue.
