Sky Sports set to broadcast Leeds special on Burley Banksy on Friday
Sky Sports is set to broadcast a special on local Leeds artist Andy McVeigh on Wednesday night.
Better known as the Burley Banksy, McVeigh has made a name for himself in Leeds with his brilliant street art celebrating the club.
He even got himself on Match of the Day and got a thumbs up from Gary Lineker on Twitter back in January.
Now he’s set to star in his very own documentary as Sky Sports continues to broadcast great content for Leeds fans.
If it carries on like this, the Leeds fans might be minded to stop the infamous chant that usually gets muted by Sky on their live broadcasts of our games. Then again, maybe not.
The Burley Bansky special is on Sky Sports Football at 10.30pm tomorrow night and we’ll be watching.
Unfortunately, McVeigh himself won’t be as he hasn’t got Sky.
Ever the modest artist, McVeigh said “I honestly don’t want to see it, too cringey!”
We imagine thousands of fans will be watching and McVeigh should be proud of what he’s done in and around the city.
