‘Sky love us’, ‘Brilliant’ – Many Leeds fans have ‘Goosebumps’ over Sky tweet

Leeds United fans are one set of fans who are missing football more than anyone else at the moment.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to major doubts about when, and if, the football season will be able to continue.

Leeds have been outside of the Premier League for 16 years and this season has seen them come closer than ever to returning with Marcelo Bielsa’s men top of the league with nine matches to play as it stands.

There are seven points separating the Whites and third-placed Fulham with the Yorkshire giants sitting in the top-two spots all season.

SkyBet have taken steps to cheer up fans who are missing football and have shown a compilation of clips from Leeds’ season so far.

It shows the heartbreak of the playoff semi-final defeat to Derby County last season before going onto the highs of this season.

Goals by Patrick Bamford, Pablo Hernandez, Ezgjan Alioski and Luke Ayling feature, giving many Leeds fans on Twitter “goosebumps” after seeing the video.

Here is a selection of their tweets:
