Reliable journalist: Big Leeds transfer closer as club gives permission for player to leave
Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk has delivered some big and exciting news for Leeds United fans on Tuesday morning.
Falk has reported that negotiations between Bayern and Leeds are “entering the decisive phase” and that midfielder Michael Cuisance has been given permission to leave the club.
Falk delivered the update on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
This comes after Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano said personal terms had already been agreed on a five-year deal.
Cuisance close?
It really does sound like Cuisance is close now.
Bild is a rock solid source and if personal terms have been agreed and Bayern are ready to let him go, it just leaves the matter of the fee.
Cuisance was bought for a fee close to £11m last summer and he only made 12 appearances last season.
Romano said the fee being discussed was around £18m and that would seemingly suit both sides, with Bayern making a profit on a player they’re not playing, and Leeds getting a hot young talent at a decent price in today’s market.
What are Leeds getting? Sky Sports pundit Michael Bridge said his contact in Germany had compared the youngster to Man United legend Michael Carrick saying, “Good vision, good technique, and someone who can spot a pass. Very exciting.”
That’s an exciting prospect and the arrival of Cuisance will strengthen a squad that’s already doing well in the top flight.
It’s exciting times for Leeds fans.
