Radrizzani reacts to penalty decision in Leeds loss and sends message to fans

Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to react to the penalty decision that led to Fulham winning 2-1 against Leeds United on Saturday.

Footage of Ben White’s supposed foul on Bobby Reid in the penalty area was uploaded to Twitter and Radrizzani responded to that video with clapping emojis via his personal Twitter account.

It could be a hint of sarcasm from the Leeds owner because there was no way that the contact between White and Reid was enough for Fulham to have been the penalty that ended up being decisive in the result.

After reacting to the controversy in the game, Radrizzani then took a moment to send a message of thanks to the Leeds supporters who travelled to Craven Cottage on the last Saturday before Christmas.

“Stand up and keep running Leeds,” he said. “Thank you all fans who travelled today to support the lads. Enjoy Christmas and we go again all together on Boxing Day!”

Even with that defeat against Fulham, Leeds are still in a superb position in the Championship table and it would take a brave man to bet against them in the race for automatic promotion.

Sheffield Wednesday’s win on Sunday means that the Whites are eight points clear of third at the halfway stage of the campaign.

Yes, they dropped points against Fulham but on another day, that could have easily been a different result with a referee’s decision proving to be the difference.

Leeds will return to winning ways soon enough after two matches without a victory.

Let’s hope that happens on Boxing Day when Preston travel to Elland Road.
