‘Points deduction incoming’, ‘Well done’: Some Leeds fans react as senior man hit with FA charge
Leeds United director of football Victor Orta has been charged by the FA for misconduct at half-time in the win against Millwall on Tuesday night.
The Yorkshire giants were 2-0 down at the break after a controversial first half which saw Millwall awarded a penalty despite the ball appearing to go out of play in the build-up.
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay has shared via his personal Twitter account that Orta and head of communications James Mooney have both been hit with an FA charge for misconduct involving referee Darren England.
Both of the Elland Road senior men appear to have accepted the charge, so now it remains to be seen what kind of punishment the FA will dish out and what they did at half time.
Leeds fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news regarding transfer chief Orta and Mooney.
Most seem pleased to see that there could have been a display of anger aimed at England for his poor officiating in the first half.
Even club owner Andrea Radrizzani tweeted his disbelief about the refereeing display at Elland Road.
Now, fans have backed Orta and Mooney and are just hoping it won’t have any impact on the team – although one has said sarcastically, “Points deduction incoming”.
