Phil Hay suggests Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani could spend big next summer
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has offered his full support to Marcelo Bielsa, saying the Argentine has got the “unconditional” backing from everyone at the club.
Speaking at the Lisbon Web Summit, the Leeds chairman has expressed his ambition of a top-six finish.
Leeds have struggled badly this season and only picked up their second win last week after they won 2-1 against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Radrizzani said, as quoted by Yorkshire Post: “Now we are partnered with 49ers, this is fundamentally very important because it will be very difficult to stay in the Premier League, but if we stay in it this year I think we can go much more than last year and go into the top six.”
“Start to renovate the stadium and continue to grow the value of this club.”
Phil Hay has suggested that Radrizzani has dropped a massive hint that if Leeds avoid relegation this season, they will spend big in the summer.
Big season
After an impressive first season in the Premier League, Leeds haven’t been at their best this term, but there is a feeling that Bielsa’s side will gradually turn it around.
Leeds have a good squad, and they are unlikely to get relegated. At the same time, they are struggling to match the standards they had set for themselves last term.
However, things can change quickly when our key players will return from injuries.

During the summer, the Whites didn’t spend big which came as a big surprise, considering we badly needed to bolster our midfield.
Decoding Radrizzani’s statement, it’s clear that the Leeds owner is satisfied with how things are at the moment. The primary aim this season is survival that shows the Whites are being very realistic about the competition this term, and the challenges that come in the second season in the Premier League.
Once that primary objective is achieved, Leeds are likely to invest big in the transfer market next summer, which should be very interesting.
