Phil Hay moots further boardroom changes at Leeds United in imminent future
Phil Hay has mooted more changes in the boardroom for Leeds United beyond this season in the Premier League.
Discussing the future of Marcelo Bielsa, the Athletic journalist admitted there are many variables before he signs a new deal.
Leeds are confident that El Loco will remain at the club but do have a backup plan with alternatives lined up just in case [90min].

Writing in his pre-match Q&A for The Athletic yesterday [12 February], Hay made numerous suggestions going forward.
He wrote: “It’s a wider decision than just what Bielsa wants, though. Do the club see a fifth season with him as the way forward?
“Does everyone agree on what has to happen with player recruitment? Will there be further boardroom changes?
“There’s a lot to think about and potentially, a lot that could happen. One thing that will doubtless be in Bielsa’s head is that once he goes from Leeds, he won’t be back. He won’t want to give it up before he’s ready to.”

Change coming.
Well then, it looks as though there could be a world of change at Elland Road in the next six months at all levels.
First thing on the cards is the future of Bielsa, of course, with the South American only signing one-year rolling contracts with the club.
Radrizzani will also likely welcome further investment from the 49ers Enterprises, which would make them the majority shareholders and take control.
When that happens, things could change, but there will be a partnership with Radrizzani already at the club, and Bielsa will be a big talking point.
Then it comes down to the transfer business, with a big summer ahead – Bielsa or another manager will need to be in place for that.
