Patrick Bamford to give away Leeds United shirt in charity raffle

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is aiming to raise money for a variety of charities by raffling off some of his match-worn shirts, according to Leeds Live.

The main attraction to Whites fans will be Bamford centenary shirt worn against Birmingham City in 2019 during Leeds’ promotion campaign.

The raffle, which closes on New Year’s Eve, costs just £10 per ticket with a highly valuable prize on offer along with some Leeds United inspired car registration plates.

This isn’t the first time Bamford has aimed to help those less fortunate than himself and it certainly won’t be the last as the England international continues to adhere himself to the Elland Road faithful and the entire city.

The money raised from the raffle will be split across three charities with nearly £10,000 raised already with just a couple of days left to enter.

The Leeds United Foundation is the most expected charity to benefit from Bamford’s generosity having already received over £1,500 from a charity Call of Duty: Warzone match the striker led earlier this month.

The foundation helps more than 15,000 people every year in the community and with the support of Bamford and the football club, their work can continue long term to ensure a better future for the whole city.

The second charity to get a split of the funds raised is Andy’s Man Club, which aims to help men open up about their mental health struggles and be there for them during their recovery.

Andy’s Man Club is another cause Bamford has helped in the past with the third charity one that he will no doubt work with again.

Eco Schools aims to educate young people on environmental issues while trying to engage them to make a difference and will be the third charity to get a share of the funds.
