Patrick Bamford set for more Leeds United injury woes in Premier League – Expert

Ben Dinnery has insisted that Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is now more likely to pick up even more knocks once he returns after sitting out most of the mid-season break.

The striker has used the World Cup gap to jet out to Germany and undergo treatment on another issue with his return date set before the Manchester City clash.

Injury Expert, Dinnery, admitted that missing the break and training it contains, the worry is that knocks are much more likely for the already injury-prone talisman.

Speaking to GIVE ME SPORT after updates across the last week, Dinnery pulled no punches with more issues on the way for the England international it seems.

“The concern is he’s missing another block of training, a key cornerstone of this second half of the campaign where you’d like your players to get that load in the legs, which will make them robust enough to see them through the second half of the campaign.

“Because he’s missed that, the worry is once he does return, the chances are he’s going to be more susceptible to picking up those little knocks and niggles again.”

Wow.

What a completely shocking two years Bamford has endured.

After the best season in his career where he bagged more than 15 goals in the Premier League in our first year back, he hasn’t even managed to string a couple of games together.

That will have killed his confidence in front of the goal, no doubt, but his ability to even get on the pitch as well as Leeds fans are losing their minds over the number nine.

What must Jesse Marsch be thinking?

The American has been thrown into the battle without a real number nine available, and Bamford isn’t showing signs of even returning yet, so thank god January is nearly here.

If Leeds don’t use January to sign another forward and a central striker at that, they are kidding themselves and no doubt opening themselves up to a relegation fight.

This isn’t an update anyone wanted, and it must be sorted out as soon as possible.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
