Pascal Struijk: Leeds United would go crazy if injuries picked up away from club
Pascal Struijk has admitted that Leeds United would go crazy if he or his teammates were to injure themselves away from Thorp Arch.
The Dutch defender shared that he has taken up golf in recent times, with Illan Meslier and Rasmus Kristensen joining him on the course regularly.
While all fun and games, Struijk did insist that it never gets out of hand with the risk of those at the club losing their heads over potential injury news.

Speaking to Voetbal Zone, Struijk shared that his activities away from Thorp Arch could lead to the club losing their minds if the worst was to happen.
“I have to get out of that ‘soccer bubble’ every now and then to clear my head,” he said. “Leeds itself is a nice city. If you’ve just come here, it’s different if you’re used to Rotterdam or Amsterdam, because it’s an industrial city.
“But the longer you stay there, the more you love the city and people. In the summer I played golf a lot and now I am picking up padel. We now have a group of guys who have qualities, haha. Rasmus Kristensen, Illan (Meslier) and me.
“We are looking for a fourth player, but now we also play with our fitness coach Pierre (Barrieu). It’s really competitive we just have to make sure we don’t get injured. If we were to get injured, they would really go crazy at the club. We try to keep it somewhat calm.”

No chance.
This is the last thing that Leeds would need.
Jesse Marsch suffers from enough headaches from problems picked up either in training or on matchday in the Premier League, never mind while not playing football.
Struijk would be gutted himself as he currently cements his spot at left-back to enjoy his longest spell in the first-team starting in his years at Elland Road.
With his goal and solid outing at Crystal Palace last time out, he is already guaranteed to start against Arsenal, with Leeds knowing they have a magnificent talent on their hands.
The World Cup is quickly approaching and after his maiden Holland call-up last time out, Struijk will be desperate to keep impressing, something that will need to see him avoid injuries.
A new contract is also on the line at Elland Road, something he admits he would love to happen to extend his stay in West Yorkshire, hopefully as a central option down the line.
In other Leeds United news, this player could be first in the Elland Road boardroom as new contract talks may take centre stage
