Ola Aina transfer-listed by Torino, Leeds want to take advantage - report

Torino defender Ola Aina has now been transfer-listed with Leeds United watching very closely, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian outlet report that Ivan Juric, manager of the club, is hoping that the Nigerian can secure a wealthy pay-day in his next move.

Aina is currently at the African Cup of Nations, something that could throw a spanner in the works over any transfers.

Torino’s sporting director Davide Vagnati appears to be the catalyst behind a potential exit, which looks destined.

Aina was on loan at Fulham last season and also spent time with Hull before securing his permanent exit from Chelsea.

The Cottagers had a £7.5million option to buy in that loan deal, but decided against it after relegation from the Premier League.

Bring down that price.

If Fulham had a £7.5million option last season, that valuation should already be lower as more time has passed.

Torino appear to be desperate to sell players in order to bring in transfers of their own before the end of the month.

Do Leeds need Aina, though?

Primarily a right-back, the Whites need midfielders and potentially another left-back, so it would make no sense as things stand.

Cheap or not, Aina certainly wouldn’t get the big payday that is wanted for him by his current manager Juric.

January is a month where every player and their dog is linked to the Whites, so this should be taken with a pinch of salt at this moment.
