Midfielder dropped from matchday squad after Leeds reportedly table £16.3m bid
Todd Cantwell has been left out of the Norwich squad to face Derby County in the lunchtime game at Carrow Road today, amid strong interest from Leeds United.
PA Sports reported that talks were ongoing between the two clubs, before journalist Nicolo Schira claimed that terms had been agreed between Leeds and the player.
Schira claimed that Leeds had bid £16.3m for the player.
Norwich announced their matchday squad on Saturday morning ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off and Cantwell is missing.

It’s led some Norwich fans to believe that he’s on the move, with one saying that he was showing “utter disrespect for the club who gave him everything.”
If Todd has been distracted again in training this week then that’s utter disrespect for the club who gave him everything and his teammates. Poor. Glad to see Emi has taken the advice on board though. Todd is about to become Murphy’s mk2.

Football Insider reported on Saturday morning that Leeds were making a fresh move for Cantwell.
This comes after a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance collapsed in dramatic fashion after the player failed a medical.
Fans understandably upset
Cantwell is an interesting one and we can sympathise with Norwich fans who are coming to terms with life back in the Championship.
They’re not happy with Cantwell.
Take him to full of himself massive ego

Manager Daniel Farke slammed Cantwell last week when he left him out of the squad and said he wasn’t focused.
He said he’d rather play the kitman than a player that wasn’t 100% focused on his club.
"I just hope this bloody transfer window will close soon," says a clearly fired up Farke #NCFC
Not necessarily angry at Cantwell and Buendia, just wasn't happy with their mental state ahead of the game. Would rather play kit man than a player not focused.

Interestingly, the other player who was left out of the squad last week, Emiliano Buendía, is back in today.
However, we can also sympathise with Cantwell. At 22-years-old he needs his career to progress and a move to Leeds to work with Bielsa must be very tempting.
Bookies think the move is likely, with Leeds as short as 10/11 to sign the midfielder.
However, Leeds don’t need to sign him by Monday – there’s an extension for domestic transfers between the Premier League and the EFL, which means this one could go all the way to October 16.
