‘Massively underrated’, ‘Well done Victor Orta’ – Many Leeds fans wowed by 29y/o v Bristol City
Mateusz Klich’s form for Leeds United has improved drastically in recent weeks and fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on the midfielder.
The 29-year-old was one of the best players on the pitch on Saturday as Leeds won 1-0 against Bristol City at Elland Road and, rightfully so, supporters have been raving about the Poland international.
Klich has started every Championship fixture this season and for a good few months, there had been a lot of concern about his performances.
Other than his brace against Middlesbrough in November, there hadn’t really been too many stand-out displays by the former Twente midfielder but it’s safe to say that form is in the past now based on his recent outings.
Klich was superb against the Robins this weekend.
According to stats by WhoScored, no player on the pitch made more key passes than Klich [3] while the Polish ace also made one tackle, one interception and assisted Luke Ayling’s winner.
Klich himself might admit that he was in a bit of a rut but now that is behind him, it’s clear that he is key to Leeds’ form as they aim to win promotion from the Championship.
It also suggests that Marcelo Bielsa’s insistence upon sticking with players who aren’t in the best form may pay off eventually – which is why Patrick Bamford and Kiko Casilla are still starting every week.
But for now, fans are delighted with what they have seen from Klich and here is a selection of some of their tweets:

In other Leeds United news, a striker loaned out by the Whites in January is in better goalscoring form than Bamford.
