Marcelo Bielsa pictured at Premier League ground as Leeds prepare for top-flight

Many Leeds United players have jetted away on their well-deserved holidays after lifting the Championship title on Wednesday.

The likes of Kalvin Phillips and Ben White have gone together, with Liam Cooper going away with some of his senior teammates like Stuart Dallas.

Leeds cruised to the title in the end, finishing 10 points ahead of West Brom and sealing their spot in the Premier League.

The only man not going away? Marcelo Bielsa, of course. The South American has been pictured at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Everton are entertaining Bournemouth and the Athletic journalist Peter Rutzler shared a picture of Bielsa taking in the action in Merseyside.

It is uncertain what Bielsa was doing in Merseyside, but we all know that he loves to be prepared and have pages and pages of scouting reports on each opposing team in the league.

The South American also has his own scouting department, so it would be strange to see him picking out players himself.

This could be the first clue that Bielsa is set to extend his stay at Elland Road, with his current deal having already expired at the club.

Why would Bielsa go to watch Premier League games if he wasn’t sticking around? Let’s not get carried away though, because we all know how much El Loco loves to sit and watch the beautiful game when he can.

Reliable journalist Nicolo Schira reported that Andrea Radrizzani will meet with Bielsa next week to discuss his contract, so let’s all cross our fingers for a positive update in the next seven days.
