Leeds United to announce new manager within weeks – Sky Sports

Leeds United will make an announcement on their new manager in the coming weeks, according to Sky Sports.

The club has confirmed the news to the news outlet, with the club also releasing their own official statement on Twitter, after Sam Allardyce decided to leave the club.

It is said that a mutual agreement was reached between the two parties that he was not the best option to take over what could be a long-term project at the club.

Sharing the news on their official Twitter account, Sky Sports News has reported the latest news coming out of Leeds after a turbulent week.

“Breaking: Sam Allardyce leaves Leeds by mutual agreement and the club says an announcement on the new head coach will be made in the coming weeks.”

Good.

The first good piece of news in months has arrived with Allardyce confirmed not to be taking over as the permanent manager of the club.

Big Sam may not take any blame for relegation as he only had four games in charge, but his tactics and team selections were as bad as each other.

Leeds went down with a whimper in the end, with little fight or determination, the two main things which will be needed to get promoted out of the Championship.

Hopefully, the takeover can now be sorted for the 49ers Enterprises to get Andrea Radrizzani out of the club and make all of the decisions.

With the transfer window open on 14 June, the ownership status and the new manager need to be sorted before then to give all parties the best chance of a smooth transition.

Big changes are coming at Elland Road, and they have been needed for the past two years now – get it done.

In other Leeds United news, Radrizzani is said to be waiting for an answer from the 49ers on their proposed takeover of the club
