Leeds United star Raphinha issues rallying Instagram message

Things are getting tight at the bottom of the Premier League and Leeds United find themselves right in the thick of the action.

The Whites were comfortably beaten on Saturday as reigning champions and current Premier League leaders Manchester City came to Elland Road and ran out 4-0 winners.

Their misery was compounded earlier that day as Burnley came from behind to beat Watford and then on Sunday as Everton shocked everyone by beating third-placed Chelsea at Goodison Park.

Leeds need a big lift and fast so Brazilian winger Raphinha has taken to Instagram to post a motivational message that will no doubt become the mantra at Thorp Arch.

“Only those who don’t give up today will win tomorrow,” the 25-year-old wrote as his caption.

All together now

As much as it pains to say, we need to have a look at what the Everton fans did before and during their game against Chelsea and copy it as much as possible.

They were unbelievably loud and passionate and the travelling Blues could not hack it one bit which is a large reason as to why they were beaten by the strugglers.

We’re not saying that Goodison is any louder than Elland Road but the way the players responded to the noise is something that Jesse Marsch needs to get his players into.

Every Everton player gained that extra yard of pace because the crowd was so intense and we need that to be recreated at LS11.

When Chelsea come to town next Wednesday (11 May), we not only need to make as much noise as we can, as we did against City but also see a proper response from the players on the pitch because we are getting dangerously close to going back down to the Championship.

In other Leeds United news, this EFL teenager is on the radar of the Whites and two other Premier League sides.
