Leeds United manager news as Daniel Farke not in England despite push for triple agreement
Leeds United have been finalising deals with Daniel Farke’s three assistant coaches Eddie Riemer, Christopher John and Chris Domogalla but the German is still not in England, according to Phil Hay.
The Daily Mail reported former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke as the leading candidate following a meeting on Friday 23 June, and according to the outlet on 29 June, the German boss was shown around Thorp Arch ahead of appointing him as their new manager.
And according to The Athletic [3 July], the Whites are now on the verge of appointing him, which may have still been dependent on the EFL’s approval of the 49ers Enterprises takeover, but the club are confident in being given the green light.

The report also claims that the Whites have been busy finalising the agreements with Farke’s assistant coaches while he remained outside of England, with the club’s initial returnees checking in at Leeds Beckett on Monday morning.
Moving forward
A report in The Guardian on 30 June claimed that although it had been thought the new manager would not be introduced until that 49ers deal is rubber-stamped by the EFL, there is now a distinct possibility Farke’s appointment could be formalised earlier, and this new development from The Athletic certainly seems to suggest as much.
Leeds United fans are now certainly getting their wish after so much delay as to how the club will be progressing after their relegation disappointment.

It was imperative the club targetted a manager capable of providing them with a swift Premier League return, and that man is definitely Farke, given his superb record at Norwich.
The German is a Sky Bet Championship mastermind, a proven winner at this level having navigated two promotions with Norwich City and won over 70 games across his two campaigns in the England second division, and if he is to repeat that feat at the club this season, he needs to be backed by the 49ers considerably.
It’s pretty encouraging that transfer talks are already underway with their new boss as the club has five weeks until the new campaign kicks off against Cardiff.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds United can get all their deals before then but the 49ers must ensure that Farke is in the best position before that first whistle is blown.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have a very high budget as they look to sign a new striker
