Leeds United fans slam Rodrigo, some want him sold
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Leeds Insider Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road…
Leeds United fans seem as though they would be happy to see the back of Rodrigo if the Spain international is moved on in the near future.
Rodrigo, 30, has struggled to meet expectations since swapping Valencia from Leeds in a club-record £27million deal last year.
While the forward impressed in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Friday night in the Premier League, he’s largely disappointed Leeds fans during his spell in West Yorkshire.

Of course, part of that is due to him not holding down a regular spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Rodrigo is naturally a striker but has been played in a deeper midfield role at Leeds. He also only started 14 Premier League fixtures last season due to continual injury issues and struggles with his form.
That led to Paul Robinson telling MOT Leeds News that he would sell Rodrigo and replace him with someone who’s better suited for Bielsa’s system at Elland Road.
And a number of our Leeds Super Fans agree with the former Whites goalkeeper, with one saying the club should “get rid” of the Spain international while another says he’d take Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin as a replacement.
Here is what they had to say:

Rodrigo’s time at Elland Road has so far been frustrating because we saw at the back-end of last season just how good he can perform.
We also saw it at St James’ Park last week when the former Valencia ace pulled the strings in our attack.
In the penalty shoot-out win over Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, he wasn’t as influential as he was at Newcastle but still, he played a major role in our attacking play.
But it’s strange that Bielsa still didn’t want to play Rodrigo up front and instead named Tyler Roberts as Patrick Bamford’s replacement.
Will Rodrigo ever get a proper shot at the top of Bielsa’s formation?
In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani has hit out at a fan on Twitter for what he said about this Elland Road ace.
