Leeds United defender Junior Firpo spotted running at Elland Road after hamstring blow
Leeds United defender Junior Firpo has been spotted running at Elland Road after his recent injury scare.
The Spaniard limped off in the 3-2 victory against West Ham in January and hasn’t been seen since at Thorp Arch.
Leeds posted numerous pictures of injured players returning earlier this week, with the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper back on the grass.

There was no Firpo, but that has changed today.
Sharing a video on their official Instagram stories, Leeds have shown Firpo running at Elland Road.

It isn’t a high-intensity run and isn’t in a training capacity, but it is certainly a step in the right direction for the left-back.
Hopefully, that means this hamstring blow isn’t as serious as the ones picked up by Phillips or Cooper.

Boost.
Well then, this is yet another boost in the right direction.
Firpo doesn’t look ready to be involved against Aston Villa next week, but he could certainly be in training after that one based on this.
The Spaniard will want to recover 100%, but given that he is in a position to be running on the pitch at Elland Road, it isn’t something you’d do if you were still in pain.
Rob Price looks to have been in overdrive this week in the medical centre at Thorp Arch, dispatching players left, right and centre.
Firpo could be following Cooper, Phillips and Adam Forshaw out of that room, with Patrick Bamford one of the next ones to come, hopefully.
