Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch hails clubs hierarchy for unwavering support

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has hailed the club hierarchy for their unwavering support since taking on the role after stints with RB Salzburg and Leipzig.

It’s been an up-and-down start to the campaign for Marsch and Leeds United and the American boss will be hoping for an upturn in results.

Nevertheless, Marsch gushed over the support from the Leeds hierarchy and described it as “better than anywhere” he’s been in his life and career.

“I think the support I have internally at this club is better than anywhere I’ve ever been in my life,” said Marsch as quoted by the Independent.

“Now, I know that when you lose, questions arise. That’s normal. From you guys, from fans and everyone and I accept that. And it’s my responsibility to make sure we lose as little as possible and my goal is to never lose.

“I’m here to do the job and believe I’m the man to do the job. I’m doing it with my staff, with my team, with the leaders in this club, with my ownership and I feel we are together.

“I feel incredibly supported and it empowers me to do the job I think is necessary to help us win.”

Hear! Hear!

It’s nice to hear a manager speak so openly about his relationship with the club’s hierarchy and that he feels they are fully behind him to do the job at hand.

In the Premier League, things can turn sour quickly, but club owner Andrea Radrizzani has his head firmly screwed on and wouldn’t make a hasty decision based on the back of a few poor results.

There’s no question Leeds United need to improve their performances but there have been glimpses of what Marsch and his side can do well early in the season.

A few untimely injuries haven’t helped the Whites progress, but the returns of Junior Firpo and Luis Sinisterra will add depth and competition for places in Marsch’s side.

Sunday afternoon’s fixture against Arsenal is the perfect opportunity for Marsch and Leeds to turn things around and keep Radz smiling.

It will be tough but at Elland Road anything is possible.

In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
