Leeds United ace Luis Sinisterra reveals man behind Elland Road move
The sixth Leeds United signing of the summer is certainly the most attacking move Jesse Marsch has made so far in the transfer market.
Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra joined from Feyenoord in the Netherlands having enjoyed a stellar 2021-22 campaign in both domestic and continental competitions to replace seemingly outgoing ace Raphinha.
The 23-year-old is currently with the senior squad in Australia for the pre-season tour while the Brazilian trains alone at Thorp Arch and Sinisterra has shared why he joined the club this summer.

“It’s amazing to be here,” Sinisterra said, as quoted by Leeds Live. “The team is amazing and they gave me a warm welcome. I’m enjoying my time already.
“It’s a beautiful team. Victor (Orta) and this team, they gave me the confidence from the beginning when we started talking, the coach also gave me the confidence and that’s why I chose Leeds. Also, it’s a historic club with beautiful fans and I feel ready to compete in the Premier League.
“I spoke with him (Marsch) and that was a reason to come here, the confidence he gave me, it said a lot for me.”
Decade
While Marsch didn’t exactly create miracles at Leeds United last season, there were definitely circumstances that were stacked against him that played their part.

Not only was he unable to bring in any of his own signings having taken over in February but the majority of Marcelo Bielsa’s very small squad were injured at one stage or another.
He’s now had the chance to make his own signings for the Whites and he has not disappointed so far which could mean we see the first real glimpse of the American’s ideology this season.
If everything clicks straight away, we could easily be looking at a top-half finish or at the very least close to and that may just be the start of a very long and fruitful period in our history.
He has already proven with RB Salzburg that his teams can take on Europe’s elite and that is where we want and need to be and if he does achieve it, he could be our manager for a good decade or longer.
In other Leeds United news, we need to spring into action again in the transfer market after one of our targets was subject to a £17.9million bid.
