Jesse Marsch agrees terms to be next Leeds United manager, will be in charge v Leicester City
Jesse Marsch will be in charge for Leeds United when they take on Leicester next week after agreeing terms to be their new manager, according to 90min.
The football news website reports that the 48-year-old will be confirmed as Marcelo Bielsa’s successor on Monday [28 February] after the Argentine was sacked today.
It is understood that there have been successful talks with Marsch over the course of the weekend and the ex-RB Leipzig manager has now reached an agreement in principle with the Whites.

Paperwork is now being finalised and it’s reported that the American will take charge of Leeds for the first time on 5 March at the King Power Stadium when the Whites play Leicester.
Quickfire replacement
Leeds have not wasted much time here, which suggests that they may have touched base with Marsch and/or his representative earlier this week, or even before that.
We’ve been on a slippery slope for a while and by the end of next week, Leeds United could easily be in the Premier League relegation zone.
Playing Leicester away is never easy and we probably wouldn’t have won with Bielsa in charge and we may not win with Marsch in charge either – but it’s a roll of the dice.

If the decision pays off and Marsch takes us to safety, it’ll be hailed as a masterful move by Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta.
However, if Leeds do get relegated, Marsch will no doubt be the fall guy and potentially thrown under the bus by the Whites’ leadership – even though he’s simply the guy with the mop and bucket to clear up the mess that’s there already.
Marsch is a risky hire but it would have been a risk to stick with Bielsa too.
In other Leeds United news, David Seaman is furious with what he’s heard coming out of Elland Road this weekend.
