Jack Harrison shares insight into Leeds home training routine, Joleon Lescott responds

The news broke earlier in the week that Leeds United had followed suit and sent their players and staff home away from Thorp Arch amid the coronavirus suspension.

A number of players have shared updates on their social media pages in the past 48 hours, with the Whites having delivered an exercise bike as well as some other equipment to work from home.

It will be vital to Marcelo Bielsa that his players return to action fully fit once the Championship returns once again in the next few months.

Jack Harrison is one of the squad to have shared an insight into the home routines set by Leeds. The winger having posted a video of his circuit on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday evening.

The routine included a lot of free weight work as well as exercises with the resistance band, without showing any part with the bike.

Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott replied to the video, joking with the winger that his form was questionable in the circuit.

“Question mark on some of them reps mate, think the speed of the video was a disguise,” he wrote.

Marcelo Bielsa went against the norm in the opening stages of the coronavirus outbreak, keeping Thorp Arch open to the first-team to continue training in West Yorkshire – similar to West Brom.

With things getting worst and with no clear update on when the football will return, it was the right decision to send the squad home into self-isolation to avoid unwarranted contamination.

Health and safety is the key priority now, and as Harrison highlighted the squad will be working hard behind-closed-doors to remain at peak fitness levels moving forward.
