‘I’ve got a really bad feeling’: Super Fans deliver verdict on how 19/20 Championship should end

All the talk in the football world is how and when the 19/20 campaigns are going to resume (and whether greedy Premier League players will agree to a wage cut).

We’re expecting updates from both the Premier League and the EFL tomorrow but possibly with no more than just a further delay to the season which is currently suspended until April 30.

UEFA has cancelled all internationals in June and that frees up two months for the remaining nine games to happen but it looks very unlikely that fans will be allowed back in stadiums that soon.

There are many different options for how the 19/20 Championship can end but the three favourites seem to be…

  1. Finish the season as soon as possible, behind closed doors if necessary
  2. Finish the season when it’s safe to but only when fans are back too
  3. Finish the season now and promote Leeds & West Brom

We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans if they’d want any of those and if not what they’d propose instead.

This is what they said…

Barry Monaghan (@jbarrymon)

Get it finished. That’s the message from the Super Fans and while they would like supporters to be there, there seems to be a growing acceptance that’s not going to happen.

That will be tough on Leeds fans but promotion is the single most important thing at the moment.
