Daniel Farke press conference set, Leeds United to announce new manager
A press conference has been arranged at Leeds United to announce the likely appointment of former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke, according to Last Word on Sports.
The Daily Mail [23 June] reported Farke as the leading candidate following a meeting on Friday 23 June, and according to the outlet on 29 June, the former Norwich boos was shown around Thorp Arch ahead of appointing him manager
Sky Sports Germany also reported on 29 June, that the German was set to sign his contract at Elland Road once the finer details have been sorted.

And according to Last Word of Sports sources [29 June], a press conference has now been arranged to announce a new appointment, which should be Farke, and it could be within hours.
Sources are also indicating that there is a meeting of the club’s Supporters Advisory Board, called by the club, which implies a significant announcement is pending.
Superb appointment
Yes! It now finally seems as if Leeds United have got their man after such a long and gruelling wait.
And Farke represents the perfect tonic for Leeds United to bounce back after recent turmoil in the Premier League last season.

The German is a Sky Bet Championship mastermind having navigated two promotions with Norwich City and won over 70 games across his two campaigns in the England second division.
That record alone should have made him Leeds’ best candidate for the role and it seems as if the 49ers Enterprises have certainly got their heads screwed on to appoint him.
Farke is now Leeds United’s best hope of an immediate Premier League return given his previous record, a knack for an attractive brand of football which will finally get the fans onside and his experience in masterminding such a gruelling and testing division.
There may be doubts about his ability to perform in the Premier League should Leeds United make a return this time next year, but that really won’t be the case at Elland Road given the plethora of resources available to the club that he didn’t have at Carrow Road.
The next step now is, can the 49ers give him the room and resources he needs to build a side fresh off potentially losing many of their big-name stars? The pressure is on.
