Andrea Radrizzani sends passionate message after Leeds United secure Premier League survival

Leeds United are staying in the Premier League.

On a pulsating final day (Sunday, 22 May), the Whites clinched their survival with a 2-1 win over Brentford. Newcastle United also completed a favour by defeating Burnley 2-1.

Andrea Radrizzani ran onto the pitch to celebrate with the players after the game. The Leeds major shareholder also delivered a passionate message on Twitter.

Radrizzani wrote: โ€œAll together now to build. What a day we lived. (An) unforgettable experience, a rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you all supporters, players, Jesse, a great leader, and the staff who believe till the very final moment and never give up.โ€

In a separate message, dedicated to the fans, he wrote: โ€œThank you, lads.โ€

Huge summer ahead

This is going to be a massive summer transfer window for the Whites.

They narrowly managed to avoid the drop and this is not the success that everybody wants to see from Leeds, especially after what they did last season under Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites struggled badly with injuries this season, with several of their key players missing large parts of the season. Itโ€™s time to rebuild again.

Jesse Marsch has proved to be an able leader at the club, and he needs support from everyone to take the club to the next level.

He needs to make strong decisions and sell some of the fringe players to make room for new faces.

Kalvin Phillips is likely to stay put now, and Leeds can build a strong team around him. Signing a striker is also crucial.

Raphinha is another player whose future has come under intense speculation with Barcelona vying for his signature.

The Brazilian could still leave the club, but Leeds now have an upper hand in the negotiation table.

In other Leeds United news, Richard Keys and Andy Gray reacted live to the wild dressing room scenes as the Whites stayed in the Premier League.
