Andrea Radrizzani reacts as Mateusz Klich creates Leeds mural at Elland Road
Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is an artist both on and off the pitch.
The Polish international spent his day-off on Sunday creating a mural at Elland Road as the Whites prepare for the Premier League.
It has been almost a month since Leeds lifted the Championship title, and Klich has made sure that no one will ever forget about that achievement.
Andrea Radrizzani will have had to sanction this piece of work, and the Italian appeared to be delighted with the outcome.
Reacting on his personal Twitter account, the club chairman and owner showered Klich with the ultimate praise after his work.
“MVP,” he wrote.
That is unlikely, but it is great to see Radrizzani so close to his players and staff after a turbulent couple of decades in terms of ownership.
No one could ever imagine the likes of Massimo Cellino and Ken Bates coming out with this sort of praise for their players.
This will be one of a number of changes set to happen at Elland Road between now and the start of the Premier League season.
Fans won’t be back in the terraces in West Yorkshire until October at the earliest due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Leeds will also be upgrading their floodlights, substitute benches and media facilities, with Elland Road set for a promotion boost during pre-season.
Klich’s addition is the first we’ve seen, and if the others look this good, we can’t wait to get back among the crowds next season.
