Andrea Radrizzani protects disabled Leeds United fan from torrential rain
Andrea Radrizzani showed his class ahead of Leeds United versus Everton on Saturday when he protected a disabled fan from the rain.
Images on social media show Radrizzani holding an umbrella over a fan in a wheelchair as they made their way to Elland Road.
Torrential rain poured upon West Yorkshire on Saturday as the Whites drew 2-2 against Everton in the Premier League.
Leeds came from behind twice to draw with Everton with Mateusz Klich and Raphinha, who scored a belter in the second half, earning the point for the Yorkshire giants in their second Premier League match of the campaign.
Superb
Not many football fans can say their club is owned by someone they can be proud of.
But almost ever since Radrizzani took full control of Leeds United in 2017, the Italian businessman has been an absolute class act in the boardroom.
He bought back Elland Road, he reinstated the women’s team and financed an impressive overhaul of the playing and coaching staff at the club.
Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival is largely down to him and Victor Orta, who was hired as director of football by Radrizzani.
And, ultimately, the Italian’s work is one of the key factors behind Leeds’ return to the Premier League and impressive ninth-placed finished last term.
Radrizzani is just a nice guy who’s very clever and knows exactly what he’s doing.
Seeing those images of him protecting that disabled supporter from the rain is heart-warming stuff.
