‘2nd best player of the season behind Kalvin’ – Many Leeds fans still waxing lyrical about 28y/o
It may have been a few days since Leeds United beat Bristol City 1-0 at Elland Road but fans are still raving about Stuart Dallas’ display at left-back on social media.
Luke Ayling may have grabbed the headlines by scoring the winning goal against his former club, but it was the other full-back who fans have been gushing over on Twitter since.
Dallas, 28, has really come into his own this season and has really nailed down the left-back slot in Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
Last season, the Northern Ireland international started just 10 Championship fixtures but this term he has been undroppable with Bielsa starting him in all 33 of the club’s league games so far.
Dallas has played at right-back, left-back, on the wings and even as a central midfielder but he has without a doubt been at his most impressive form on the left-hand side of the defence.
On Saturday, he was arguably at his best for Leeds, as pointed out by figures shown on the LUFC Data Twitter account after the game.
Leeds fans are still waxing lyrical about the former Brentford player’s display, even though it has been a few days since the game – and who can blame them.
It was a superb display by Dallas and he deserves recognition for it.
