Crysencio Summerville sounds defeated already in relegation claim before West Ham vs Leeds United
Crysencio Summerville sounded like he regrets leaving Leeds United after making some pre-match comments before West Ham United’s crucial game against the Whites this Sunday.
Leeds have the chance to send Summerville back down to the Championship just two seasons after the winger snubbed the opportunity to become a hero at Elland Road.
After the Whites failed to achieve promotion in the 2023-24 season, the Dutchman left LS11 to join West Ham the following summer in a move that hasn’t really worked out for the Hammers.
However, Daniel Farke has since led Leeds’ resurgence to the Premier League, with the Whites confirming their continued status in the top flight weeks ago.
Now, Summerville sounds like he’s already accepted relegation with West Ham, and as the saying goes, the grass isn’t always greener.

Crysencio Summerville sounds like he’s accepted relegation already
Farke has gone with a strong side, as Leeds look to be the ones to relegate West Ham this weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can’t afford anything but a win, as even if they do get the three points, they have to hope that Tottenham lost at home to Everton to maintain their own Premier League status.

While speaking to Sky Sports shortly before the game kicked off, the former Leeds star sounded completely defeated in his tone of voice and optimism that he could help prevent his side from relegation.
Summerville said: “It’s about second chances, and I think we have to grab this one with both hands, and hopefully we can get the win.
“We get another chance to save our season; everything is in God’s hands. The only thing is, it’s not in our hands, the only thing we can do is win this game and hopefully Spurs lose.”

Summerville didn’t sound very enthusiastic in his words, but the West Ham dressing room probably knows what their fate will be, even if they get the right result.
Would Leeds fans take Summerville back?
West Ham need to raise a reported £100million in player sales this summer, should their relegation to the Championship be confirmed.
The good thing for the Hammers is that they have several players who can help them rake in big money, and Summerville is one of them.

- Goals: 25
The former Leeds star will most likely depart the London Stadium if their second-tier fate is confirmed after the game against the Whites, but would the Elland Road faithful take him back?
Right now, they probably would not, and it says everything that Leeds’ social media team opted to throw a subtle dig at the winger in the digital match poster for the West Ham game.
