Leeds United fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that at least one individual at the club has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Daily Mail revealed on Thursday that at least one individual at the Championship leaders has tested positive after it was confirmed by the EFL the day before that nine positive cases had been recorded.
Sun journalist Alan Nixon had reported that a top club in the second-tier had been hit with positive test results for three young players but it remains to be seen whether or not that is Leeds with the Yorkshire giants refusing to comment as of yet.
Hopefully it is not as bad as that and there is just one person who has tested positive but still, this is concerning news because it could throw a spanner into the works in regards to the club’s preparation for the season resumption.
What if the person involved had come into contact with others at Thorp Arch? Those who have tested positive must self-isolate for a week but those who have come into contact must do so for two weeks.
The season restarts on June 20, so it is definitely something to worry about and we hope Leeds release a statement to clarify everything soon.
In the meantime, a number of fans are concerned by the news and here is a selection of their tweets:
O dear…Hope its not more to follow.

If it’s true and it’s a player then those who’ve trained with them will need to isolate – thus one step closer to PPG..???

It's ridiculous that the club have been letting players go out to the supermarkets themselves, etc. The clubs should be helping to minimise the risks.
