Norwich director Stuart Webber confirmed that he believes Leeds United should be denied promotion if the Championship season isn’t concluded.
The Canaries have joined a long list of bottom-half Premier League clubs who would like to see relegation scrapped this season, no surprise given their positions.
Bad news for them, the FA have confirmed that relegation will be taking place one way or another and that clearly benefits Leeds.
As it stands, English clubs are set to return to training in the next couple of weeks with Boris Johnson confirming that live sport could return behind-closed-doors in June recently.
It seems typical of Norwich to be one of the clubs coming out and going against that, with the Norfolk club currently six points off safety after only five wins in their 29 games.
Webber did admit that he was a Leeds fan and wanted to see the club back in the Premier League, but that counted for nothing once the Whites ascended on the comment section.
Many Leeds fans quickly reacted claiming it was pathetic, and that the Norwich director came across as desperate in his attempt to salvage his club’s Premier League status further down the line.

Typical Norwich. Small club. Small town mentality. Soon to be back where they belong. 👋

Only themselves to blame. Championship squad

Disgusting behaviour by them, trying to do everything to avoid relegation.

Who do Norwich think they are? Been bottom for most, if not all the season and are trying to use any excuse possible to not go down. Such a pathetic club.

I'm really glad my club @lufc have said very little on the topic and acted with class, despite the genuine concern that we might be denied what we absolutely deserve, promotion. Carry on lads

Exactly this. Great to see. Let Norwich, Villa and Brighton do all the taking. Just looks desperate

It’s not up to him.
