Leeds United proved themselves against top opposition once again on Monday and Diego Llorente really impressed our Super Fans.

It took the Spain international a while to get his Leeds career up and running due to injuries but he is now starting to show why Victor Orta brought him in.

Since he came into the side in late February the Whites have conceded seven goals in 10 games, and on Monday Llorente proved he is as good on the ball as he is off it.

He grabbed the all-important equaliser against Liverpool and finished the match with 94% pass accuracy [WhoScored], despite often receiving the ball under pressure due to Liverpool’s high press.

The 27-year-old was brilliant in countering Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota, making four tackles and three blocks, as well as winning four aerial duels.

He guided Pascal Struijk in what was a tough comeback game for the youngster, and because of that he was named WhoScored’s man of the match with an 8.1 rating.

Many Leeds fans are loving what they have seen from the defender in his short time on the pitch, and countless plaudits were sent his way after the match.

He has not taken long to impress and he could be even better next season if he gets a full pre-season under his belt.

Here is what our Super Fans said about Llorente after the game.
