Kalvin Phillips is best known now for his excellence in the holding midfield role (and occasional horror tackle) but he’s scored some crucial goals for Leeds United too.

Over 175 games he’s scored 11 goals and Leeds United posted their top 10 on Twitter this morning, delighting the fans.

He’s actually scored some real belters and the number one was his volleyed equaliser against Sheffield United back in October 2017.

Apart from making us realise just how much we’re missing watch Leeds play it shows how Phillips has been transformed under Marcelo Bielsa.

Phillips was an average forward-looking player in midfield before Bielsa completely turned his career upside down.

Phillips only scored one goal this season and one the season before under Bielsa.

He scored seven in the 17/18 season but turning the goals off and moving backwards has turned him into a player who’s being tipped for England and the Premier League next season.

He’s seen as one of the best players outside of the top flight and was said by Neil Redfearn to be ahead of Declan Rice in the England pecking order

Leeds fans were loving the nostalgic look back at his goals, although one said he felt sorry for the one that was missed out – his second in the game against Bolton on the opening day of the 17/18 season for the completists.

Here are the reactions on Twitter from Leeds fans…
