Leeds United fans are split about who they want to play in this year’s FA Cup.

The draw for the third round is being made tonight shortly after 7pm and you can watch it live on BBC1.

Leeds United are number 19. Other numbers to look out for are 12 (Chelsea), 21 (Liverpool), 23 and 24 (Man City and Man United) and 15 (Derby).

There are still a few non-league clubs left in, including Canvey Island and Boreham Wood who play tonight.

Marine are also in the draw after beating Havant & Waterlooville on Sunday and Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth said a draw against them would be “lovely”.

Some fans agreed with him. One said, “Don’t need a big team this year since we won’t be there and we play them anyway. Someone that lets us play some of the fringe players would do nicely.”

And others want to see Leeds have a good cup run this season after being knocked out of the EFL Cup in the first game against Hull.

However, not all fans fancy a romantic tie against non-league opposition.

One supporter said, “There is no draw I want less. I know it’s a different place nowadays but I never want to play a non-league club again, just expect it go badly if it happens.”

Those memories of Sutton in 2017 are still too raw for some fans.

One other supporter said he wanted “anyone L1 or lower at home.”

And there is a feeling that Leeds could enjoy a really good run in the FA Cup. They won’t be scared of anyone and can beat anyone on the day if the right side turns up.

A few fans want to see Leeds draw Huddersfield and see Bielsa go up against Carlos Corberan, the former Under-23 manager.

This fan wants proper opposition that will force Bielsa to take it seriously and not play the fringe players.

“No way. Bielsa will fall into the usual trap, play a youth team, get beat and it will affect the goodwill factor around the club. Proper tie. Proper team. Take the cup seriously.”

Us? We’d take Man United at home (as long as we win).
