Leeds United fans are consistently looking for updates on the current Championship season and anything that could affect their promotion hopes.
It was reported that both League One and Two could end early with the top three spots being reserved for promotion through a weighted points-per-game model.
The Championship would still like to finish the remaining nine matchdays at some point, with Leeds currently sitting at the top.
Michael Green reacted to the EFL’s decision to potentially end leagues with a point-per-game method, revealing that any similar ending in the Championship would see Leeds promoted.
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay reacted to that, commenting that there are no methods that would see Leeds missing out on promotion other than them crumbling in the final nine games in they were to be played.
“Basically, there’s no model other than void which would stop Leeds finishing top two. Or no credible model anyway,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Leeds and West Brom have been the two teams to catch ever since the first month of the campaign, and their records speak for themselves with a seven-point gap to Fulham in third.
Prediction expert Nate Silver even revealed that the Whites stand a 98% chance of promotion this season, and anything affecting that will surely send the Leeds fans wild.
Many Leeds fans have reacted to this latest comment from Hay, with some even claiming that they may as well announce promotion already.

My only remaining fear is that promotion is blocked by the Premier League. Reassure me Phil

Is there a time limit on when the season must end- strikes me that the chances on next season starting in August are low, so why the pressure to get an end to the current season.

And null and void would never happen Phil, right?

There's always the model where we play out the rest of the season and lose Phil. You know, "do a Leeds"

The best chance of denying Leeds the promotion would be to play the remaining games.

People are abit silly thinking the championship doing the same means promotion, all depends on what prem want to do and they will protect their own
