Paul Robinson believes it’s only a matter of time before Leeds announce a new deal for Marcelo Bielsa.
And Robinson said, “Forget the world’s best players… Bielsa will be the biggest signing that Leeds make this summer.”
Leeds are officially without a manager at the moment after Bielsa’s extended contract expired at the end of the season.
However, Robinson doesn’t think there are going to be any nasty surprises for Leeds fans.
Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said, “I went out for dinner yesterday and Bielsa was in the same restaurant as me, so he’s still around.
“It will be a massive coup to sign him again. He will be the biggest signing that Leeds make this summer.
“Forget about all the top players, the world’s best players… the best signing Leeds can make is the manager.
“It will probably be a 12-month deal, that’s what he works on and I can’t see it being any different this time around.
“However, it will be the longest time he’s worked at any club. This shows the affinity he has for the club, what he feels about the club and how he feels about Leeds.
“Leeds are a big draw too – it’s an opportunity to manage in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so it’s a huge opportunity for him, too.
“It works for everyone and I’ll say it again – it’s the best signing Leeds can make this summer.”
