View: Leeds post exciting official update that will have supporters absolutely buzzing

Leeds United have released footage of Kalvin Phillips training ahead of the Euros as he bids to prove his fitness to Gareth Southgate.

Phillips was injured in the final seconds of the 3-1 win against West Brom on Sunday, the last game of the season.

He was named in the provisional 33-man squad but Southgate said that they would know more about his injury in the next few days.

On its Instagram story, Leeds United have sent out proof that all seems well with the midfielder.

Phillips runs through a number of shoulder exercises at Thorp Arch which have made Leeds fans very happy indeed.

We desperately hope that Phillips is fit for the tournament and he’s still got some time to prove he will be 100%.

It might be better for Leeds if he rested at home but this is such a big deal for Phillips that you’ll be hard-pressed to find a fan who wants him to miss out.

The challenge at the end of the West Brom game was really stupid but that’s Phillips.

He was upset at having given a goal away late on and decided that was the way to try and make amends.

Having seen the video, we’re convinced that Phillips will be fit and that the club is fully behind his participation in the tournament, too.

That’s key. If there were any doubts that he might make the injury worse and miss the start of the season, we’re sure that he wouldn’t be allowed to travel.
