Everton are enjoying a renaissance under Carlo Ancelotti and will fancy getting at a Leeds United side that’s been up and down over the past few matches.
However, that could play into Leeds’ hands. We want – nay dare – teams to take us on and go toe-to-toe and the Everton defence, like our own, has been leaky this season.
Leeds have the third-worst defence in the league, Everton the fourth. There could be goals.
And there could be Rodrigo. We think that the attacker has to come back into the starting line-up after returning as a sub against Arsenal.
He played 45 minutes in the Under-23s game against West Brom on Monday and showed some real touches of class.
He only signed in the summer but Leeds are a better side with him in it.
We think that’s the only change that Bielsa will make for Saturday’s game, with Gjanni Alioski dropping to the bench, but it’s a huge one.
It means Raphinha holding onto his starting spot at the expense of Helder Costa. Costa played the second half for the Under-23s on Monday and was outstanding.
His solo goal could be enough to see him come straight back into the side, maybe even at the expense of Jack Harrison, but we think the £32.5k/wk player will have to bide his time on the bench instead.
It shows the depth in attack that Marcelo Bielsa has at his disposal this season.
This is the side that we think Marcelo Bielsa will put out at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Leeds go into the game in 14th place in the league but the table is tight and three points could see them leap up.
Everton are in sixth place, five points ahead of Leeds.
