Super computer predicts where Leeds will finish in 19/20 Championship

We’re pretty much bang-on a third of the way through the season and Leeds are currently third in the Championship after 15 games.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are on the same points as Swansea below them and Preston above, and two points behind table-toppers West Brom.

If the Championship stayed like that until the end of the season it would see Leeds trying to go up via the lottery of the play-offs. Again. And we know how that worked out last time.

Hopefully, it won’t come to that.

According to top stats site Infogol, Leeds are better than third and should currently top the table, with West Brom in second and Preston in third.

And it gets better. In their end-of-season forecast, Leeds are also top of the table. West Brom would also come up automatically from second, with Swansea set to finish in third.

Fulham, Brentford and Cardiff make up the other play-off spots, with Preston missing out in seventh.

Of course, the only table that counts is the one in the real world and Marcelo Bielsa has to hope that his side will go on to realise the points their stats are currently predicting.

The battle resumes at Elland Road on Saturday when Leeds take on Blackburn.
