Part of the conditions that Marcelo Bielsa negotiated to stay at Leeds for another season were improvements to the Thorp Arch training facilities.
And the returning Leeds players have got their first taste of the results in pre-season.
One of the improvements that Bielsa demanded was the recommissioning of the swimming pool, which has been empty and unused since the Massimo Cellino days.
Bielsa is well known for his tough training regime and another of the improvements is the addition of a 1km running track.
It seems like it’s all proved too much for new signing Helder Costa, who was videoed taking a nap by Barry Douglas.
He shared the video on his Instagram story on Friday saying, “Pre-season taking its toll on our boy Helder”.
Bielsa knows exactly what he’s in store for this season after a grueling first season in the Championship, but whatever else happens it looks like Leeds should have some of the fittest players in the league when the season starts in August.
