Rob Price to sweat over fitness of Leeds United attacker Luis Sinisterra as worrying image emerges

Rob Price must be sweating over the fitness of Leeds United attacker Luis Sinisterra as he is seen wearing protective boots again.

Yorkshire Evening Post reported on 6 December that Sinisterra is finally back training on grass after spending a number of weeks out through injury.

However, he has posted a picture on his Instagram story [7 December], where he is seen standing alongside Price, the head of medical performance at Leeds, wearing a protective boot on his leg.

Sinisterra joined the Whites in the summer transfer window for a fee of around £21m from Feyenoord [Daily Mail].

The Colombian was injured in the game against Fulham in October that ended in a 3-2 defeat for the Whites. He has not made any appearance since.

The 23-year-old has been kept indoors at the gym in Oliva, Spain, where the Whites are currently training, and it seems he will need more time to get back to full fitness.

Stuart Dallas is another player who is also on the verge of recovery, but the club will monitor their progress. Jesse Marsch will not look to rush them as the Colombian is a key player for the Whites.

In the past, Leeds brought back players too soon from their injuries and paid the price. Patrick Bamford is probably the best example, and it would be really foolish of the club to not learn from past mistakes.

Leeds do not return to action until the end of December which gives Sinisterra more time to recover.

The Whites need him badly, though. Jack Harrison’s form has dipped horribly, but luckily the resurgence of Crysencio Summerville couldn’t have come at a better time.

The latest post from Sinisteera is really worrying but we hope he can recover fully in the next few weeks, if not days.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
