Raphinha & Kalvin Phillips return to Leeds training ahead of Spurs clash
Leeds United duo Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips have both been spotted in training ahead of the Premier League clash with Spurs on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa was unable to confirm their availability for the clash in his latest press conference on Thursday morning.
The Whites were back on Thorp Arch training pitches on Friday, and the major boost was confirmed with both in the main group.
Leeds released the video on their official YouTube channel on Friday, and it appeared as though we had a near-full squad of players to choose from.
Liam Cooper is also among the players looking to catch the eye of Bielsa and will return to the fold after serving his three-match suspension.
The Scottish international and Whites skipper isn’t guaranteed his spot, especially given the form of Pascal Struijk in his absence in the Premier League.
This is brilliant news and could create a big headache for Bielsa in this latest Premier League clash against Spurs.
Phillips and Raphinha should return immediately if they are both at 100%, with the likes of Robin Koch and Mateusz Klich likely looking over their shoulders.
That duo started against Brighton last weekend, but both struggled in the 2-0 defeat and it saw our attacking influence slowly fade away; becoming nearly non-existent.
This Whites duo have been the standout names along with the likes of Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas, and this would give us a huge chance of three points this weekend.
Raphinha especially will be raring to go after missing huge games against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Watch out Spurs.
