Raphinha and Gelhardt to start - Leeds Predicted XI vs Liverpool
Leeds return to action just 72 hours after defeat to Manchester United when they travel to Anfield to take on title challengers Liverpool.
The Whites showed great fight in the second half to come from 2-0 down at Elland Road, but ultimately fell to a 4-2 defeat and are now just five points off the relegation zone.
Now Bielsa must find a way to keep that second half performance for the next game and hope they can maintain it for 90 minutes against one of the best teams in the country.
Illan Meslier is the undisputed number one goalkeeper at the club and will start in goal, behind a defence with one change.
Junior Firpo came off the bench against Man United to fill in at left-back and should now start against Jurgen Klopp’s side on Wednesday. That should see Stuart Dallas move into midfield with Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk at centre-back, with Luke Ayling continuing at right-back.
Adam Forshaw was dubbed “the best player on the pitch” for his second-half performance and will start once again with Mateusz Klich just ahead of him. Robert Koch could miss out following his head injury.
In attack, Dan James should move over to the left-wing with Rodrigo dropping out of the side despite his goal.
That should allow for Raphinha to come back into the side on the right-wing, with youngster Joe Gelhardt starting upfront.
His pace, energy and determination have won fans over this season and his performance against United in the second half should see him rewarded with a start.
With three changes made, Leeds should have enough fresh legs to be able to make a game of it and try to create some separation between themselves and the rest of the teams at the bottom of the table.
