Peter Jansson sends message to Marcelo Bielsa
There’s extra juice in the Championship game between Leeds and Brentford on Wednesday night as former Whites defender Pontus Jansson is set to make his first return to Elland Road since his sale over the summer.
The reception at Elland Road is likely to be mixed but manager Marcelo Bielsa called for fans to react positively in his pre-match press conference.
Bielsa said Jansson was the best player at Leeds last season and added, “I think the fans will be fair and recognise what he did”.
Pontus’ brother, Peter Jansson, sent a reply back saying, “Hat off to Senor Bielsa!” and added a top hat emoji.

Fans are split about this and we’re not entirely sure how things will go down at Elland Road tonight.
Knowing Jansson, he’ll give a typically full-blooded display and we think there will be boos mixed in with cheers from the Elland Road crowd.
To give his brother his due, he always tried his best to communicate honestly with Leeds fans on Twitter.
It would be nice to see Pontus’ contribution acknowledged tonight but football fans are tribal and the former fan-favourite has breached enemy lines. He’s likely to get a fonder farewell if Leeds pick up all three points and move back to the top of the table.
