No Patrick Bamford amid new injury crisis - Leeds United predicted XI v Chelsea
Marcelo Bielsa is predicted to be forced into making two changes to his Leeds United starting line-up ahead of the trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
According to BBC Sport on Wednesday, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper both suffered injuries in the 2-2 draw with Brentford last time out with striker Patrick Bamford also picking up a problem late on in the game at Elland Road.
Phillips, 26, is expected to suffer an extended spell on the sidelines with The Athletic journalist Phil Hay adding the case is the same for 30-year-old Leeds captain Cooper.
Due to these setbacks, it means Cooper and Phillips will miss out on being named to start at Stamford Bridge this weekend while a return to the starting line-up could also be off the cards for Bamford.
Illan Meslier is predicted to start in goals once more.
Due to Pascal Struijk potentially not being fit to return from a hip issue, Luke Ayling may have to move into a central defensive role with Stuart Dallas returning to right-back. Diego Llorente and Junio Firpo could complete the back-four.
Mateusz Klich is predicted to return to the side to partner Adam Forshaw in the middle.
In the attack, Rodrigo could return to play in behind Tyler Roberts with Raphinha and Daniel James expected to keep hold of their spots on the wings.
Leeds have lost just one of their last seven Premier League matches going into what is no doubt a tough match against Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel’s side haven’t been great lately though with the Londoners losing to West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday and then being held to a 3-3 draw by Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League on Wednesday.
In other Leeds United news, there could also be a massive chance for this never-before-seen Under-23s ace.
