Leeds United made it two wins from three in the Premier League against Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon with their 1-0 victory.

Patrick Bamford scored a last-gasp header at Bramall Lane, as the Whites edged an end-to-end Yorkshire derby, the first in the top-flight in 19 years.

Marcelo Bielsa made one change from the Fulham win, bringing in Tyler Roberts for Rodrigo in the playmaker role behind Bamford.

The Welsh international struggled in the first half and was replaced at the break by the Spaniard – who has failed to catch the eye since arriving from Valencia.

Rodrigo may have been replaced during injury time, but his 45-minute cameo was exactly what we have been waiting to see.

The 29-year-old had three shots on goal, completed 29 passes and also played a big part in the winner – passing to Jack Harrison who put it on a plate for Bamford.

Defensively, he was much better too – winning 100% of his defensive duels against such an attacking side like the Blades.

Roberts, on the other hand, was slated massively and his performance even led to some fans claiming he wasn’t up to Premier League standard yet.

The Welsh international only completed 12 passes in the first half and failed to get involved significantly – with players such as Stuart Dallas having more effect in the final third.

Rodrigo needed that time to settle in, and Sunday’s performance was the first sign that he is starting to thrive, and now it’s time to prove it against one of the best – Manchester City.
